Pcounter's solution for Sharp is based on Sharps Open System Architecture (OSA), making it possible to use features and functionality, which in the past required hardware terminals or was not possible at all.

The Pcounter OSA solution makes it possible to get customized solutions for Sharp Multi Function Printer (MFP), and integration with existing IT infrastructure.
To utilize the embedded software terminal, the Sharp machines need support for Sharp OSA and the Sharp External Accounting Module will need to be enabled. Request information from your local Sharp dealer on available OSA machines.

- Secure Print which allows the user to release their print job at any OSA-enabled device
- Integrates and validate user ID in Microsoft AD and Novell NDS
- Validate user credit level before access to device (Academic)
- Track and log all activity on the device (print, copy, scan and fax)
- Project and Client codes can be entered on the Sharp User Interface
- No additional hardware is needed because User ID, billing code entries etc. are made directly on the Sharp User Interface.
- Card-readers can be added to the solution so users can identify them self via their security card
