How to Update PRO DLL

Replace the new PRO DLL file in the gateway

Programs/services/gateways needs to be stopped first, so the DLLs are not locked.

Auto update of Short ID (card ID)

Using Account.exe, create a batch file:

d:\path\account.exe proid username1 cardid1 pinnumber1
d:\path\account.exe proid username2 cardid2 pinnumber2
d:\path\account.exe proid username3 cardid3 pinnumber3
etc.

Attribute for ID numbers in AD

Pcounter PRO is supporting that you can look-up a card ID number directly in the Active Directory. This is set-up in the gateway from the hardware or software terminal supplier IF the supplier support "Attribute for ID numbers in AD". in the field just type in the attribute so the gateway(Pcounter PRO know where to look in the AD Examples of attribute names cn department displayName

Pro license on data-server

If a PRO license needs to be entered on a Pcounter server operating as data-server (not print-serve) then will you need to Activate Print Control Service and install a printer (temporary), after this can you then type in the license key. Remove printer again if server shall not be used as print-server.
