Technical Advisory - Pcounter.nlm abends on NW6.5 SP3 and NW5.1 SP8
We are aware of abend conditions, when using Pcounter.nlm for queue-based printing with the latest
support packs applied (NW6.5 SP3 and NW5.1 SP8), and are working with Novell to find a solution.
Novell has made beta patches available for download. Our testing concludes that this patch is stable.
This patch covers the following server versions:
Pcounter.nlm 5.21f and later will not load if the NCP.NLM version is not patched on the above platforms.
This problem does not affect NDPS printing.

Patch to run Pcounter for NDPS on NetWare 6 and NetWare 5.1 SP4
Pcounter for NDPS 5.12 and earlier has a bug which detects the NDPS Manager version number incorrectly when
running on NetWare 6 and/or NetWare 5.1 SP4 (or later). To fix it,
download pcounternwpatch1.exe, run it from a Command Prompt, and it will patch SYS:\SYSTEM\PCOUNTDP.NLM
on the specified server so that it will load properly.
Note: This patch is not necessary for Pcounter 5.12a and later.
